THE WINES:

Rose:

Soleil Des Alps Provence Rose 2021/22 - retail $26.99, your price $16.99 - in cases of 12, no minimums
Cork Note:
Generous on the palate, with a fruit-forward body, and just the right level of acidity. Made for casual enjoyment, you won't find a better bottle at this price!

Paltrinieri 'Leclisse' Lambrusco di Sorbara 2021 - retail $41.99, your price $34.99 - in cases of 6
95 Wine Enthusiast
Cork Note:
I've loved this Rose Lambrusco since I first poured it years ago at Winebar Kensington - an intoxicating nose of red fruits and blossoms, racy rhubarb-twanged acidity, fine persistent mousse, and a thirst-quenching minerality made for sunshine. Plus last year it received the score it deserves from Wine Enthusiast!
"This is a wine to run towards! The wine is a beautiful salmon-pink color that sets the tone the moment it is poured. This fresh fruit is balanced by the earthy and herbal notes that intermingle with the fruits in a near-perfect dance. The palate pops with a vibrancy that makes you go, “oh this is Lambrusco!” This is a wine that is both serious and fun. You cannot ask for anything more." WE

White:

Lyrarakis 'Queen' Vidiano 2021 - retail $32.99, your price $18.99 - in cases of 6, no minimums
Silver - Decanter World Wine Awards
Cork Note:
Another stunning grape from Greece, this featured at Winebar as my secret weapon for pairing with a wide range of dishes. This wine's versatility with food is truly a delight.
"The Lyrarakis 'Queen' Vidiano is a dry white wine made from 100% Vidiano grapes grown in the Heraklion area of central Crete. Pale yellow in colour. this Vidiano displays aromas of apricot and citrus with hints of blooming herbs. The palate is velvety and full of texture with a strong presence of ripe fruit and minerality to finish." DC

Portlandia Pinot Gris 2020/21 - retail $32.99, your price $21.99 - in cases of 6, no minimums
91 Wine Enthusiast + *Best Buy*
Cork Note:
We first tried the Pinot Noir from Portlandia ($31/btl), and loved it. Cork was the first store in Alberta to bring in the Gris and it's been a delicious regular for us since. A classic style, at a rare price.
"This Columbia-Willamette Valley blend of 96% Pinot Gris, 3% Riesling and 1% Viognier is light on its feet. Orange sorbet and honeysuckle on the nose, with green apples, Asian pear and lime zest flavors. A crisp mouthfeel and brisk acidity make for a refreshing sip." WE

Armand Heitz Bourgogne Blanc 2021 - retail $66.99, your price $47.99 - in cases of 6, no minimums
Cork Note:
A reliable Burg Blanc, this is dense and unctuous, with balanced acidity and good weight. Watch for our sale offer on Armand Heitz soon (incl Corton GC Les Chaumes for $299!).
"Fresh, mineral, with light citrus flavors. Fresh and lively" Burgundy Report

Pinot Noir:

Coudoulet Pinot Noir 2021/22 - retail $29.99, your price $14.99 - in cases of 12, no minimums - 48 bottles available.
Cork Note:
I'd recommend this as a quintessential example of Pays D'Oc Pinot Noir. It's textbook in flavour—bright and fresh with cherry, herby garrigue and spice. For maximum enjoyment, serve slightly chilled.

Fess Parker Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir 2021 - retail $57.99, your price $41.99 - in cases of 6, no minimums
92 Wine & Spirits, 91 Wine Enthusiast
Cork Note:
A true value from one of the best Pinot regions in California. You won't find better for less money - we've tried!
"
Always a solid representation of the Sta. Rita Hills for a fair price, this bottling begins with fresh pomegranate, dark sage and wet slate on the refreshing nose. There’s a taut structure to the palate, framing red plum, rose potpourri and cranberry flavors." WE

Armand Heitz Bourgogne Rouge 2021 - retail $66.99, your price $47.99 - in cases of 6, no minimums
Cork Note:
Medium-bodied, with a toasty wood note to balance the fruit and acidity. The perfect house red for burgundy fans.

Groffier Bourgogne Passetoutgrain 2021 - retail $74.99, your price $54.99 - in cases of 6, no minimums
Cork Notes:
The Groffier family ranks among the finest winemakers in the Côte de Nuits. Established in the 1950s by Jules Groffier, Robert Groffier's father, the domaine is now managed by Robert’s grandson, Nicolas. Their PTG, one of the domaine's most approachable wines, is crafted from a blend of 25% Gamay and 75% Pinot Noir.

Full-body Reds:

Chateau Argadens Rouge 2019/20 - retail $31.99, your price $19.99 - in cases of 12, no minimums
Cork Note:
This comes in at 14%, and it's fruit-forward freshness is a great bridge to Bordeaux for New World wine lovers.
"A thoroughly modern style of Bordeaux, lavish concentrated berry fruit as well as soft vanilla oak spice. Opaque in colour, dense in texture and almost chewy, with soft, supple tannins." TP

Vinum Cellars 'The Scrapper' Cab Franc 2018 - retail $47.99, your price $29.99 - in cases of 12, no minimums
90 Wine Enthusiast, 90 Suckling
Cork Note:
This is a toned, punchy Cab Franc that finds balance between power and accessible tannins. A touch of oak, spice and black fruit put this right where we like it.
"Firmly tannic and also nicely concentrated, this big, angular wine matches bright cinnamon and cedar notes from oak aging with nicely ripe and vibrant black currants and red cherries." WE
