Bordeaux Sale including Cuvée Eva for $26! Sale ends Saturday at noon!

We're back with another show-stopper of a wine - the Cuvee Eva Bordeaux Blanc 2020.

We were crushing this wine last year, it was a smashing hit! The problem was supply - only 20 cases arrived; we took 3 and couldn't get any more before it ran out. Lucky for us it's back for a short run.

This is a single varietal Sauvignon Blanc, showing incredible purity of fruit. It's rich in texture, with tropical tones of pineapple, nectarine, and flinty white peach. Lime zest, lemon, and spice are layered over a firm and bright palate. A balancing touch of cut grass contrasts the fruit and the toasty wood finish.

Barrel fermented, the density here is uncommon for a wine at this price. The finish is wonderfully long, leaving a touch of bitter almond skin and mineral zip. Ripe fig and vanillin round out this stunner.

The wine is ready to drink now and over the next 2-3 years. Trust us when we say you'll be shocked at how fast the bottle disappears - it was served at the 2023 Calgary Commanderie de Bordeaux induction ceremony (congrats on joining, Alex and Brandon!) and was being gulped by gleeful Commandeurs at a record pace.

If you're a New Zealand Sauv drinker, this will offer a compelling alternative to cool fruit tones and gooseberry zing; likewise, California Sauv drinkers will appreciate the broad, ripe palate and dense texture. The agent took everything from the winery; there will be no more of the 2020 once this arrival is gone. This could be $35 and still offer value - but we've secured a special price of $26/btl until noon, Saturday!

Offer notes: all prices are per bottle and include delivery, tax, and deposit - no surprise charges or hidden fees. Limited quantities available. Order via the link below or send an email to with any questions.

97 Decanter World Wine Awards + Value Best in Show (top 50 wines out of 5000+ reviewed!)

"This was the only single-variety Sauvignon amongst our Value Best in Show wines this year, and its grassy freshness, purity and poise make it a terrific winner. Our judges felt, though, that origin was indeed a part of its appeal, palpable via the soft grain of its faintly oak-infused aromas, and the vinous drive and length of its palate. At this price, don’t look for complexity or concentration, but there is a class to the fruit which is rare at this level and which will provide much drinking pleasure for Sauvignon fans. Alc 13%" DC

New 2020 Bordeaux arrivals:

Chateau Guiraud Grand Vin Blanc Sec 2020 - retail $139.99, your price $114.99 - in cases of 6 - 2 cases available, no minimums
94 Jane Anson, 93 Dunnuck
70% Sauvignon and 30% Semillon
"This is its inaugural vintage (and also the 10th anniversary since organic certification at Guiraud), and it's a confident start, with creamy citrus, apricot and white pear, clearly differentiating from the more zippy charms of G de Guiraud. Although this is 0g/l residual sugar, so bone dry, the wine is fermented for three weeks in barrels that were previously used for Guiraud's flagship Sauternes, and that combined with the heat of the 2020 summer combine to give this gourmet, rich and succulent character. Put this together with an edge of bitter almond and oyster shell salinity and you have a white wine with presence." JA

Chateau Pape Clement Pessac-Leognan Blanc 2020 - retail $334.99, your price $264.99 - 12 bottles available - no minimums
100 Dunnuck
62% Sauvignon Blanc, 33% Semillon, 4% Sauvignon Gris, 1% Muscadelle
"One of the whites of the vintage, the 2020 Château Pape Clément Blanc was raised in a mix of new and used oak. This beauty stopped me in my tracks and offers a massive nose of honeyed limes, white flowers, tropical fruit, crushed stone, and orange marmalade. With the vintage’s vibrant sense of freshness, full-bodied richness, a stacked mid-palate, and a fabulous mouthfeel, this truly sensational white is an incredible achievement, and hats off to the team at Pape Clement! Give bottles 2-3 years and enjoy over the following two decades or so. " JD

"...This is the first time that blend has included all four varieties. Aged 18 months in 55% new French oak, its vivid purple color is followed by a gorgeous bouquet of pure cassis and black raspberry fruits as well as complex floral, spice, and crushed stone-like minerality. Medium to full-bodied and flawlessly balanced, with silky tannins, it's an incredibly classy, seamless, elegant 2020 that shows the ripe yet classic style of this incredible vintage." JD

"The 2019 Phelan-Segur has a well-defined bouquet with blackberry and bilberry fruit, a subtle marine influence that develops with aeration. Very cohesive. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, very precise with wonderful mineralite and tension. This oozes class, a Swiss watch of a Saint-Estephe with outstanding length and complexity. Top drawer and a benchmark for the estate. Tasted blind at the Southwold annual tasting." VM

97 Vinous, 97 Suckling
85% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Franc and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon
"The 2020 Beau-Sejour Becot is a dense, powerful wine. A rush of black cherry, plum, chocolate, new leather, licorice, spice and sweet oak builds as this towering, vertically explosive Saint-Emilion opens in the glass. This is an especially broad, expansive Saint-Emilion, much of that attributable to the clay in these soils. The 2020 is magnificent in its intensity and overall volume. Superb." VM

"The 2020 Pape Clément is outrageously beautiful. Dark, virile and imposing, the 2020 is a rare vintage of Pape Clément that is vertical and statuesque in feel. Dark fruit, chocolate, new leather, licorice and cloves infuse the palate with tremendous depth. In a word: magnificent." VM

98 Suckling, 97 Decanter, 97 Anson
60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot
"Aromas of blackcurrants and black cherries with hints of crushed walnuts, grilled thyme, cocoa powder and graphite. It’s full-bodied with layers of ultra-fine, silky tannins that elegantly coat your palate, allowing the juicy and vibrant fruit to shine. Delicate and pristine, yet compact with lots of energy and power to uncover in the coming years. It lasts for minutes and is delicious now. The purity of fruit is really impressive. 50% new oak 15% old oak and 35% concrete amphorae. Try after 2027." JS
