Gilvesy winery is located near an ancient dormant volcano in Hungary. Robert Gilvesy, a native Hungarian, moved back to his homeland from Canada to start this exciting project involving native grape varieties and volcanic soils.
This light and fresh blend is called welschriesling- Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling. AKA summer in a glass! You'll be welcomed by notes of mint, zesty lemon and fresh cucumber. The palate is delightfully fruity with flavours of orchard fruit like green apple and underripe pear.
It's delicious when paired with summer meals: fresh salads dressed with dried fruits such as cranberries and walnuts or fish pakoras.
