Riecine Chianti Classico 2021

This is the original wine of Riecine, first bottled over 50 years ago and still the purest expression of their house style. Founded in the early 1970s near Gaiole, Riecine built its reputation on organically farmed, site-driven Sangiovese that favours precision and finesse over weight. The nose shows black cherry and violet layered with lemon peel and a subtle crushed stone minerality. Medium-bodied with well-integrated tannins, it carries a creamy texture that frames the fruit without softening its naturally austere edge. This is classic, age-worthy Chianti Classico, that can be enjoyed tonight or gifted as something to hold on to. 

Riecine Chianti Classico Riserva 2020

The style of the Chianti Classico Riserva has maintained the same since 1975. It is a pure, and elegant expression of Sangiovese that has never chased trends. Made from a selection of the estate’s best grapes, aged in a small amount of oak. The 2020 shows bright ruby with garnet highlights, layered with spice, cranberry and blackberry, delivered on a palate that is juicy, punchy and precise. There’s depth and structure here, but always with Riecine’s signature finesse and a lightly salty, savoury finish. Pair with rosemary lamb, or aged Pecorino to let the acidity and structure do their work.

Riecine 'La Gioia' 2019

Riecine La Gioia 2019 is the estate’s more powerful, cellar-worthy expression. Made with mostly Sangiovese and a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon, it shows impressive concentration and depth. It layers cherry, raspberry and plum with lifted floral notes, crushed stone minerality and hints of Mediterranean macchia. This is a polished wine that doesn't lose the savoury Tuscan edge that defines Riecine’s style. Best from 2026 through 2042.
