This domaine has a rich history where it was fully owned by the Douhairet family, until Mme. Armand Douhairet (who this cuvee is named after) asked infamous winemaker André Porcheret to take over. Porcheret was the winemaker of the highly sought after Domaine Leroy at its inception at the same time of managing this domaine. Now his grand daughter Cataldena is running the Domaine Douhairet-Procheret winery.
Decant this wine before enjoying, it needs a little time to open up. In the glass you will fine vibrant aromas of violets, cherries, strawberries and sweet herbs like anise. It has a very silky mouthfeel with soft tannins. It would be rude to not drink at cellar temperature- you can even put your decanter in the fridge for 10 minutes before pouring.
