The Cordonnier family took over Chateau Lestage-Darguier during this vintage and they have set out to revitalize the vineyards. Based off extensive soil research in the area they made this wine in a closer style to Saint-Estéphe than Moulis-en-Medoc. Made of slightly more Merlot than Cabernet this wine is plushy and round with generous fruity aromas. It's an excellent option for someone looking for outstanding Bordeaux that they can enjoy today.
