This is a fresh, fluid, and very easygoing Rhône red that punches above its weight. Juicy and immediately enjoyable, it shows bright fruit with a subtle layer of roasted spice in the background and just enough gently grippy tannin to give the wine lift and shape. Fine, elegant, and highly drinkable.
The blend is 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah, coming from vineyards located at one of the highest points in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Château de la Font du Loup - literally “fountain of the wolves” - takes its name from the natural springs in the area where wolves once gathered to drink.
A polished, approachable red that works just as well on its own as it does at the table.
