Chateau Palmer is top estate in Margaux after only Château Margaux itself. What makes Palmer special is its higher Merlot content, giving it a style closer to the rich wines of Pomerol and St-Emilion than typical Médoc wines.
The 2019 Alter Ego shows a deep red colour with vibrant aromas of raspberries, redcurrants and spring flowers. On the palate, it starts fresh before revealing a wonderfully soft, lingering texture. The winemakers age it in barrels (only 25-40% new) for 18 months to preserve its fruit character while adding subtle complexity.
Only 7,083 cases produced! Ready to drink now! Can be cellared until 2035. Great for Bordeaux wine lovers!
