Built in the early 19th century, Château-Gris is located on a hillside southwest of Nuits-Saint-Georges, in the heart of a 3.4-hectare vineyard. It takes its name from its gray slate roof, whereas tile predominates in Burgundy: a name given at the time by the local population and which has remained in use. Following a court decision in the 1920s, the name Château-Gris was able to prevail over the name of the lieu-dit "Les Crots" where the plot is located.
The very elegant bouquet combines aromas of red and black fruits (cherry, strawberry, blackcurrant, etc.) with subtle floral notes (rose, violet, peony, etc.) and a delicate oaky note. Its very smooth palate combines rich, fleshy fruit with a structure of racy tannins. A distinguished wine that offers a beautiful sensation of freshness on the finish.
