Description

Big and textured, the ’16 Les Narvaux holds you in tension between its sweet fruits and its savory minerals, its acidic lift and its rich feel, and its chewy mouth-feel and its captivating nose. Lemon zest, olive oil, saline spray, acacia blossoms and a touch of petrol frame the wine’s stone fruits. A little tightly wound, this Narvaux bottling will need some time to integrate but soon it will be a seductive, captivating wine. Jean-Pierre Latour personally monitors all of his bottlings, releasing them only when he feels each individual parcel is ready; thus his wines are always in very small allocations. This classic Meursault Les Narvaux, which derives from 40-year-old vines grown on the upper slope of the appellation, is no exception. This wine ages for one year in barrel, one-third new, before bottling without filtration.
