This elegant tasting (organic) red is a blend of 80% Tempranillo grapes with 20% Viura (white grapes) added. The addition of white grapes is not unusual and harkens back to traditional Rioja wine making methods. Xerico shows delicious flavors of juicy blackberries and licorice, It's round and lush but with sharp, austere tannins. A definite must! Best food choices are braised red meats, grilled pork or strong cheese.
