Description

Aromatically slightly subdued, though there is a sense of great freshness. Thyme emerges after a while along with a smoky bacon note. Fluid and fast-moving in the mouth, there's a great sense of tension and intensity on the palate. The tannins are present, like fine sand in texture with a very light grain. This feels painfully young to drink now. There's no serious reduction, and this will have a lot to give when the time comes. It exudes balance and power, but try to wait for this to show its best. Ninety-year-old vines. Grapes are handpicked, whole bunch fermented in concrete then aged for 18 months in demi-muids and foudres, followed by light filtration
